Adrienne Cahalan from Sydney has highly achieved in many classes of sailing. She has received nominations for the World International Female Sailor four times. Sailing is a competitive industry. Cahalan had plans to take a gap year to contemplate her future and maybe even reinvent herself however upon receiving a telephone call from adventurer Steve Fossett, Cahalan accepted the challenge to join him as his navigator in an attempt to to set the quickest time to sail around the world. She spent many months training with and later 59 days at sea with Fossett and the best sailors from across the world. Whilst on board the Cheyenne, Cahalan was the only woman and only Australian. Cahalan is very open about her personal life relefcting on the challanges she faced. She also believes that life is about choices and taking opportunities.
